Stuart Brierley Integration Management - BizTalk and More

I ran into this issue today on my Windows 7 64bit laptop, for some reason it would not connect to my WiFi network, even though it has been used on this network multiple times a week for the past year.

The error given was:

Wireless Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration

After attempting a few restarts of the wireless adaptor in the laptop and the wireless router I was still getting the same error.

Eventually I found the solution to my issue was to repair the Windows TCP/IP stack.

To do this open a Command Prompt as Administrator and run the following commands:

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults:    netsh winsock reset catalog
Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults.    netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults.    netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Once these commands were run I restarted the laptop and my Wireless network connection was back up and running.

With many other 'fixes' around, this was the one that worked for me. Thank you.

Hey,
This didn't work for me. What worked for me was linking the physical Mac address of my device and an IP. Open the dhcp settings in your router. There will be an option to link your physical address And an IP of your choice.

Does any one know why it suddenly lost the IP configure ?
So restore to the default set up does fix the issue.

for me I fixed by going to wireless router the local network setting and turning back on my dhcp server. I had turned it off earlier and my laptop worked fine. But when i got out of range of wifi and then came back in range it was limited connection with no internet.

To run as admin you need to find command prompt under Accessories and right-click: it will give you the option you need :)

I tried all of these and nothing worked. Any other ideas? Also, a default gateway does not appear when I run ipconfig/all.

Thank you,
Mike

It all seems legit, except that your paragraph isn't seperated as it should be per command, and I can't figure out the right order for each command, please help!! Please seperate the command like by line, or in order

This did work for me. To run cmd as an administrator on newer Windows, type cmd in the search box. Instead of pitting Enter, press CTRL-Shift-Enter. This will bring up a User Account Control box. Select Yes, and you will be running an Administrator Command Prompt. Then follow the steps above.

Nope those three commands DO NOT WORK FOR ME
The only thing I found that works is restarting the router when this computer is on. Which is a royal pain

There's got to be a fix
