Head Explodes Too much information Citrix
Citrix & Flash audio
Has anyone encountered poor sounding audio in a flash file that is viewed over a Citrix session? Other file formats such as mp3 and wav stream ok and sound fine while through Citrix, but audio that is part of a flash movie sounds horrible. I've set our server's audio bandwith to high as well as setting the client's bandwith to high and the sound doesn't improve in flash movies. Speedscreen doesn't help either, it only improves animation in flash, not the sound. So far I'm stumped on a solution to ......

I passed the Citrix Presentation Server 4.0: Administration (256) exam!
I took the Citrix Presentation Server 4.0: Administration (256) exam Wednesday and passed it with an 89%. It wasn't too bad at all, with some moderate studying. Now I've just got to fill out some forms and wait for my certificate to arrive! Also on another note, I graduated from College finally with a Bachelors in MIS (Management Information Systems). Working 40 hours, studying for school and studying for this certification has kept me very busy the last 6 months. Now its time for me to relax and ......

Citrix MPS 4.0 Pass-through authentication with only the ICA web client
I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get pass-through authentication on Citrix to work so that my users could just go to the web-interface, automatically login and see their applications and be able to run the apps without having a login appear at the server. I finally got it to work. Seems like all over the web the posts and comments said that pass-through wouldn't work without the full program neighborhood client, but in my case it appears to be working with only the web client... ......

Fresh Citrix MPS 4.0 and SQL 2005
The clean install of Metaframe Presentation Server 4.0 and SQL Server 2005 went just fine. Took about 2 hours and there weren't any show-stoppers. Time will tell if MPS is stable with SQL 2005, but so far so good. We have a small user base that is actively using the system with the upgrade. In other news, a nice lightning bolt fried my secondary TV, Playstation2 and wireless router. Guess I should invest in some more surge protectors. I had surge protecters on the important things like the computers ......

Citrix MPS 4.0 and Sql Server 2005
I successfully got Citrix Metaframe Presentation Server 4.0 running with Sql Server 2005. I changed an existing install of Citrix to the new sql server with a copy of the Citrix database. I'm going to try today or tomorrow running the citrix install and pointing to sql 2005. Currently I haven't seen any problems. I've got a profiler running and I'm watching it all and everything looks ok. All I had to change was the MF20.dsn data source name to the new server and I had to copy the Citrix database. ......

Citrix MPS 4.0 stuff
For a while I was living with a “ICA file not found” error whenever I tried to run a published app that I had access too. My initial solution was to right-click, save target as, then manually run the launch.ica file that was saved. Pretty lame. So here's the real solution. In IE, go to tools > Internet options, then click “delete files” to delete you cached files. Then close IE and re-log in to Citrix. You shouldn't get that ICA problem. Here's another Citrix related comment. ......
