The reason why I haven't been blogging so much recently is because my wife and I have bought a new house and it needs a lot of TLC.

The Front Door

This is the Front room for example before the smaller fire-place (to the very left of the picture) was removed.

After fire-placed removed

After a steel girder was added to the roof to stop the chimney from falling down kind of left our bathroom in a bit of mess.

And a hole in the floor ...

But it's all worth it! This is the view from our bedroom window ...

Anyway I hope you have enjoyed this distraction from normal service, it's fun to do some 'real' architecture for a change :-) Anyway, I shall pop up again in the next two weeks, if all goes to plan (and budget) till then it's back to fun with hammer!

The house looks like a nice challenge for you and Lou! I hope you have some serious time available to get it just as you would like it! :)

When you're a bit more settled in you'll have to do your house warming party. The views look beautiful. I can see why you chose it! :)

Have fun!

Lovely stuff! Looks like a labour of love. There's nothing like finally getting your dream house, is there?

Hi Dave,

give us a call or at least let us know the new number?

It's Friday evening here (your Friday morning) and I'm trying to ring for a chat?
