Firstly, don’t get my wrong this isn’t a post about how good or bad the new Xbox 360 is!
I do count myself as a bit of a gamer. There is nothing like a good old FPS in my book and my absolute favourite is Half Life 2.
I’ll completed Half Life 2 twice and I still want to play it again and drink in all the bits I’ve missed the previous completions.
I know that Half Life 2 is coming out for the Xbox, which is good. But I’m not going to buy it.
I’m just not in Love with ANY console. My PC happily cuts it and I will continue to invest in it so it will continue to cut it as time goes on. I look at upgrading my PC currently every 18 months.
Don’t get me wrong I have had an Xbox and a PS2, I just haven’t enjoyed the games on it as much as I have on my PC.
So will I be buying the Xbox 360 when it comes out? Well I will wait a bit and see what money I have as I’m a gamer and I’m always willing to give the latest and greatest the benefit of the doubt, but I can’t say I’m going to get all excited about it.
The question I’m asking is, will any FPS on any of the new consoles be as good as Half Life 2 on the PC?
We’ll see.
