Well, simple is not always the way to go. I have a water leak and we logically found were it should be, which worked out since I only had to dig a short hole.
That is where the the simplicity stopped because the leak was at the point where my copper line connected to the meter which is within the concrete section indicating the utility company's location (but the utility company had already stated it was still my responsibility). We went to the local hardware store to see how much the parts would cost. It just so happened there was a possibility of a simple solution "Just for Copper" solderless copper bonding.
Yeah, it didn't work very well. We gave it 24 hours according to the instructions and turned on the water. Guess what??? Water, water everywhere. It just peeled off like bubblegum. Thankfully, we had our money returned without a problem.
We still have water so it could be worse. Now a plumber gets to wrangle with the leak since I could not get the nut to turn.
