All seats were taken at the September IASA Chapter meeting. I opened the meeting with a short introduction of the officers and members of the board of directors as well as mentioning the benefits and opportunities of an IASA membership.
Quent Herschelman followed with an introduction of the IASA educational programs and announced the exciting news that the chapter will host an IASA core training in January 2012. You can find more details and can sign up for the training on the IASA global web page.
Dave Wilson, software developer with more than 20 years’ experience, gave an excellent presentation about architecture and general mobile website development principles, as well as the specific implementation of the SunPass mobile website. He covered best practices, design decisions, lessons learned, and a traffic analysis. Dave Wilson answered many questions about the management of the project and gave great guidance for similar projects.
The meeting ended with a raffle and networking with all participants.
Thank you very much to Hayan Ortega and Microsoft for hosting us, as well as Taylor Hilliard and Rezult Technology for beverages and pizza.
