DC ALT.NET First Meeting Wrapup

Last night was our first DC ALT.NET meeting held in Alexandria, VA.  We had a good turnout for a first night and a lot of good topics discussed.  I want to thank Scott Singleton for hosting the event.  The Open Spaces format worked well for us as all brought topics to talk about and the talks very lively and passionate.  A lot of good learning took place!  This was the intention when I helped found this group last month...

Of course with any proper ALT.NET meeting, alcohol was served in a nice friendly atmosphere and sometimes that helps to have more loose conversations and discussing ideas more.  Among the topics discussed were Dependency Injection, Inversion of Control, Test Driven Development and other methodologies.

Next time I'm going to bring Spec# and Design by Contract for our January meeting.  That means I'm going to be posting more Spec# and Design by Contract material soon as I finish up my presentation materials.  So, stay tuned for that!

Next meeting will be in January and of course the topics are being discussed right now.  That's the beauty of Open Spaces, bring a topic and talk passionately about it.

I hope you all can join us for our next one.  As always, our mailing list is here and the website is coming soon!
