East Bay .NET User Group FUNdamentals - AJAX options in ASP.NET

Following my FUNdaments presentation tonight to the East Bay .NET user group on the options available to developers for using type methods for grabbing information/content from a server from the client side browser, the code can be found here and the presentation can be found here.

Once again Beth Massi rocked on the main presentation about , and .  Lots of goodies to look forward to.  That said it cracks me up that MSFT is adding more capabilities to facilitate development with less type safety and interaction with dynamic languages.  It's OK I get it that it's part of the natural development to more powerful language capabilities with the improved capabilities of intellisense and the background compiler in Visual Studio, but I'll have to get over it after having had type safetly beaten into me for the last few years.

The Bay .NET user group meets in different locations. I generally participate in the East Bay user group that usually meets the second Wednesday of every month. The web site is regularly updated with the up coming events for the whole Bay Area (http://www.baynetug.org). You can register for the events (which are free - it is used as a mechanism for knowing the expected attendance to events) on the website.
