Why does VSS 2005 Web service requires a share?
I just finished setting up a Web Enabled Visual Source Safe 2005 Server. It's a WebService, great, but... What I don't understand, is that on the client side, you need to specify a Windows Share. Isn't the WebService's whole idea is to go around this? I see 3 options: Use local db (for personal stuff) Use an UNC share (like what we're use to) Use a WebServer (for when a share isn't a good solution) For option 3, it would be great for devs that work at remote locations and/or “sourceforge like”...
