Hi, I just installed release June 2005 of Microsoft Enterprise Library and I'm trying out an Hello World of the Logging Block. Here are the steps I did: I created a Windows Form (C#, Visual Studio 2003). Added the reference to the library: Microsoft.Practices.Enterpr... and added the using Microsoft.Practices.Enterpr... Microsoft's New SyncToy Part 2
Hey, I have these 2 updates to my first post. The ability to synchronize with files on a network share The ability to overwride file structure The ability to change the Left or Right folder. Once set, you can't change it (delete and create new). Integration with Windows Explorer For point 1: there's a workaround. You map a drive to the network share and use the map. For point 2: if I don't have access to change the file structure in the source and want to override it, I can't. The only workaround ......

Microsoft's new SyncToy

Most of the ideas cited bellow are there to reduce repetive tasks; more productivity, less errors. Here's the link to the full document. Summary: Configurable Code View: view tailored for the role of the user Special handling of Debug Mode: action/code that is performed only in debug mode Code Templates: easily create/modify function code ......

Microsoft knows how to help. Mercury should check it out.
I'm trying out Mercury Interactive's QuickTest Pro. The recording feature, of course, doesn't do exactly what I'm expecting, so I go to the “expert view” to see the code behind. My first thought is about the IDE. It uses VBScript. The VBScript IDE is not user friendly. It would be prefferable to use Visual Studio with a Mercury extension. Second.... Mercury is not providing any help on their web site. You have to register, and it's for paying customers only. I'm using an evaluation version! ......
