The day before, Microsoft Egypt announced the forthcoming settle of The Middle-east Developer Conference in its 3rd turn (MDC 2005).This is going to be in Jan. 29th to Feb. 1st in a day 0 to day 3 form. And Bill Gates is going to be there to give “an exclusive keynote” in day 1, just like MDC 2004.
Same as previous MDC turns, we should have some introductive pre-conference sessions given by local trainers for Microsoft Gold Certified partners for learning solutions on year 2004 regarding current Microsoft technologies. Then starting from day 1 (The real opening), a keynote by The Communications and IT Minister or The Prime Minister (who is The Former IT Minister) followed by Bill's keynote, then the back to technical sessions, but, this time given by world wide speakers (this includes few Arab speakers as well), so, they are likely to be given in English. I think this is great as it allows anybody who fills the reigsteration form to attend.
I am willing to know if any of the geeks right here will be present whether as guests or speakers, then, we could arrange meeting right there. Contact me please if you intend to.
The last turn sessions were all about Whidbey, Yukon and Longhorn, in one long session followed by 16 sessions a day (each 4 in parallel). This time it's going to be 44 instead (for the last 2 days at least), with hands-on labs in the time of the long sessions. I really don't know how they are going to arrange this in the same place of the last turn (Air Forces House, Cairo), but, I trust them, sure there just will be more rooms for sessions, and more confusion in choosing which session to attend :-( !
Anyway, I see the word “introductive” in day 1 schedule too this year, and no details about the 44 sessions per day except that they will include certain interesting pre-relase products (again, as in the last turn), the only current product involved will be Windows Server 2003. Tell you what? Go see the Agenda yourself and wait for day 0 till I get the detailed catalog of the event ;-). I hope to manage to blog this event day by day. I already am so excited as I had much benefit last year. I also won my MCAD.NET track at the leading learning partner IT Egypt being chosen as the best attendee, wish me luck this year too :-D.
Waiting for any comments in response.
