So this has taken a bit of investigation. A customers of ours was reporting duplicate transactions arriving from one of our mobile line of business applications. Notwithstanding Why do alarm clocks let you set the wake up time to precise minutes. i.e 6:33? I’ve just had to hold in the forward button on clock radio in the hotel room minute by minute to set an alarm for tomorrow. Surely we could live with a clock radio that at least scrolled through every 15 minutes. Or dare I say it let you go forwards and backwards. Or more radical still let you set hour and minute separately with like several buttons. Or heaven forbid a nice touch screen…. I think we need...
No here’s an idea for a nice mobile application. I’ve been needing to-do some work today from my hotel room today. A sad fact as I’m in beautiful Valencia. I took myself off for a fantastic walk this morning. I could have extended my walk for a couple more hours, had I know when my room was going to be cleaned. It would be great if I could have got a TXT/Email alert when my room was ready. What a simple Mobile LOB application. I call it Room Mate :-)...

We’ll after last weekends hard drive controller failure on the Fridge server. I literally took two old PC’s apart to make one new server. We’re talking IDE drives mirrored, etc. So the prospect (and cost) of moving to a new machine I couldn’t face. The new motherboard I have, has integrated video, LAN etc. so hopefully not too much to go wrong (before separate LAN card, graphics card).
