Well its been two months since I posted about the bride's maid's dress I ordered. And I'm sorry to say that the dress experience has been troublesome.
I ordered the dress back in June and it came in in a quite timely fashion. The problem was that it looked as if it had been made for someone who was 7 feet tall and weighed 400 pounds. Needless to say it was VERY MUCH TOO BIG. Expecting to have trouble in this area, this is why I ordered the dress so far in advance.
So I contacted the seamstress, expressed my concerns about the outfit and made arrangements to have it shipped back to her. This was a month ago and I've had no communication with her. On Friday, I emailed her to find out when I would be expecting the corrected pieces returned to me. Her response was confidence shattering. She basically said, I'm sorry I don't remember what I was supposed to fix, here lets start over with a new gown.
I contacted the bride about the situation and collectively we've decided to go in a different direction for the bride's maid's gowns.
She's been in contact with another seamstress for her step-daughter-to-be's gown and he's been fantastic in responding to her questions.
Therefore, we've decided to go with him for our gowns. I've requested a full refund from the first seamstress, which according to pay-pal should be credited today.
Here's what the new dress will look like:

The images above were done in cotton twill, but our dresses are going to be made out of velvet. Mine will be royal blue.
Truth be told, I like this dress better. So hopefully it will all work out....
