Dyslexia Ayrshire

Dyslexia Ayrshire (DA) is a small and very active branch of Dyslexia Scotland covering North, East and South Ayrshire. It has been going from strength to strength since its inception more than 5 years ago.

Through the efforts of dedicated committee members, DA has brought about the formation of the cross party forum which operates within the Scottish Parliament.

The volunteer committee members operate within the school term and from its early days has arranged for public speakers to introduce new methods to help dyslexic children challenged by the education system.

With very small changes to education practices, the quality of the lives of Dyslexic children could be improved enormously.
When this happens there will be no more need for small support groups like DA. Until then DA will continue to operate in Ayrshire.
