I have been too lazy busy to write anythingfor the last 6 months. I have worked with Envoy since early this year and just finished last week. Today is my first day with Console. It was quite exciting day and Console seems to be a great company with good people, fun environment and some challenging /interesting works need to be done. Also I will be working with one of my best friends, so I am pretty sure I am going to have some enjoyable time.
With Envoy I have worked on a web based logistic system (manages Export/Import/Transport, etc. for depots) and I created a billing module for the system. It was fun working at Envoy and I do feel I have learned a lot. Envoy is the only first company I worked who takes code quality seriously. We had pretty strict code review, and there was no code can be checked in without review. We do a lot of unit testing, not really in the TDD style, but we do try to achieve largest test coverage as possible. We use company made Web base MVP framework built on top of ASP.NET, which does its jobs beautifully and made unit testing easy possible. This is my first time having to do a lot of unit testing in a working environment (though I have been interested in TDD for a long time). I do find I have learned a lot. And it is also my first time using Linq to SQL extensively and I find it quite interesting as well. So I will write some posts to share my experience, I will definitely do it and I promise not to leave my blog unattended for so long again.
