OneLaptopPerChild will get Windows Vista?
I could not believe what I have just read, the OneLaptopPerChild project (a $100 laptop, full story is here) can get Windows Vista, hmm, I am wondering how, if its cost is around $125, well the project is run by MIT and I heard Microsoft will open a research center there, is that related? Any ways it is a blow to Linux.

FireFox 3.0 - my experience, what is your story?

To begin with I can tell you - I was super happy with all the previous editions of the FireFox browser.
As soon as I discovered on Lifehacker that a new version has reached the release milestone I went on and grabbed it, alas to my disappointment the new version is a go back to me.

Why, first its speed! It is not what it used to be speed-wise, it is as slow now or worse than IE, also on my Vista PC it generates a crash report upon a very normal exit, no way to stop that and the same activity ends nicely on my XP machine.

My co-worker came to me telling about his similar experience so I decided to publish this article wondering if the user community shares the same.

Browser Addon - StumbleUpon

One of the most interesting browser add-ons I have encountered so far is www.stumbleupon.com

The short description taken from their website says

StumbleUpon discovers web sites based on your interests.

What I found especially compelling to me as a software developer is the ability to find web pages based on my interests. For example I can go from one computer related page to another, the nuance is in that somebody has recommended the page! This means the site is worthy to take a look at. In case I do not like the content or do not find it accurate I simply vote it as not recommended. After using this service for about a year I have built en enormous amount of links in my customized by topic Bookmarks menu.

Go ahead, check StumbleUpon out today!

Happy stumbling!
