Jetbrains User Group Sponsoring! AWESOME!!!
I just received this email from my contact at
JetBrains
:
A quick update on the
JetBrains
User Group Giveaway program...
1) We’re happy to extend this giveaway for another year – at least until the end of 2009. Your work in the community is something we all admire, and we’d like to thank you for your efforts.
2) We are expanding the program to support a lot more User Groups – .NET, Java, Groovy, Ruby, Google, and Agile. If you want us to support any other groups, let me know!
3) We’re also expanding our offer – each month, your speaker and winner can choose their prize: a.
ReSharper
Personal License, b.
dotTrace
Personal License, c.
IntelliJ
IDEA Personal License, d.
TeamCity
Build Agent (for our Continuous Integration and Build Server), e.
Ruby IDE
Personal License (name coming soon!):)
4) We’re automating the monthly giveaway, so that your members receive licenses faster.
In the next 2 days, you’ll receive an invitation to collaborate on our Google Spreadsheet. Each month, instead of sending me an email with your winner and speaker information, just add the info to our community spreadsheet.
We’ll send out licenses twice per week, and mark all the licenses that have already been sent - so you’ll know when yours are on the way. To see an example, check out:
http://ping.fm/ZKpEM
Overall, we’re working with more than 350 groups globally, and we’ve already given away more than 2000 licenses of
ReSharper
and
IntelliJ
IDEA!
I’m hoping that by automating the monthly giveaway, I’ll be able to spend more time finding new ways to support your group – including getting involved in more events!
5) If you know of any events taking place over the next *year* that you would like us to support with licenses, send a speaker to, or attend as an exhibitor – let me know soon – I’m building our schedule over the next couple of weeks.
If you have any questions about any of the above, don’t hesitate to ask.
Best regards,
Britt King
