The following OCS services are dependent on the Office Communications Server Application Host service.
OCS Conferencing Announcement
OCS Conferencing Attendant
OCS Outside Voice Control
OCS Response Group
All of the other OCS services on the Front-end Servers do not have any OCS service dependencies.
Access Edge Server
The following OCS service is dependent on the Office Communications Server Audio/Video Edge service.
Office Communications Server Audio/Video Authentication
All of the other OCS services on the Access Edge Server do not have any OCS service dependencies.
Communicator Web Access
None

If Communicator clients are not able to connect to Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2, you will need to check the status of the following services on one or more Front-end Servers.

Office Communications Server IM Conferencing
Office Communications Server Application Host
If Communicator clients cannot Invite others to a 2-way IM conversation, you will need to check the status of the following service on one or more Front-end Servers.
Office Communications Server IM Conferencing
If users are not able to chat with external users (AOL, MSN, Yahoo), or connect to OCS from their Windows Mobile devices, you will need to check the status of the following service on one or more Access Edge Servers.
Office Communications Server Access Edge
If Communicator Web Access clients cannot connect to Communicator, you will need to check the status of the following services on one or more Office Communicator Web Access Servers.
