I created a simple XAML file and was trying to host it in an ASPX page when I was greeted with the following screen.
That's interesting because I am pretty sure I had the Silverlight Runtime installed. Anyway, I clicked on the link and downloaded Silverlight. Once, the installation was finished I simply tried to refresh the page but that did not worked out. So, I closed all the browsers and open IE again but same message again that Silverlight is not installed. Finally, I restarted the machine but still the same message. This is not the first time this has happened! I have experienced the same behavior in the past when I had the Silverlight installed on the machine but for reason the browser is not able to detect it.
This is an ISSUE and MUST BE RESOLVED!
