Someone Really Loves Java! :)

More than a week ago I started a poll in which I asked "What language would you prefer to learn in the year 2008?". And here are the results:

What language would you prefer to learn in the year 2008?

Ruby 22

C# 60

 VB.NET 10

 Java 82

 Python 8

 F# 27

 Erlang 1

 C++ 6

From the poll result it seems that Java is will be the primary language for many people in the year 2008. Unfortunately, I have to disqualify Java from this poll. This is because some Java lover voted continusly. You may ask how do I know! Well, I checked the poll yesterday and Java only had 12-15 votes and today it has bumped up to 82 votes. This means 82-15 = 67 votes in one day. That is just not possible (plus it's weekened!).

So, after the disqualification the winner comes out to be C#. This win might be because many people are coming new to the .NET framework or people are willing to learn the new C# 3.0 framework. Anyway, F# with 27 votes comes in second. This is because it is a new language and people are willing to try it out followed by Ruby with 22 votes.

I was a little amazed to see that F# was ahead of Ruby as I was not sure of the popularity of the F# language.
