Windows Live Writer - know of a better blog authoring tool?

Up until today I have always made my posts via the web interface that is provided to me at the geekswithblogs.net site.  One of my new years resolutions was that I would start to blog more with better and more article oriented content.  I have come to an understanding with myself that if I want to do this I will need to find a way that is more efficient with regards to writing my blog posts.  Something more WORD like would be great!

This has led me to this application - Windows Live Writer.  It seems to be integrated with my blog provider (SubText).  That is a bonus.  Lets see how it handles publishing this simple post!

AndrewSiemer_Anonymous  My favorite anonymous avatar! (spell check is working great)

AndrewSiemer_Logo My web site avatar.  (adjusting the aspect ratio in this environment is easy enough!)

AndrewSiemer_Old My very first avatar from when I first got started! I know I know...pretty funny looking.  (working with tables is easy enough!)

Now lets post this sucker and see if it sticks?

I would love to hear your opinion regarding Live Writer vs. other blog authoring environments.

Andy

Andrew, I love using Live Writer. It's nice that everything's synchs up really well with Geekswithblogs accounts. I especially like the "tagging" feature that lets me tag my posts with Technorati inside of Live Writer - so easy!

I just wrote a more complex post with Live Writer and have to say that this worked great! 10 times easier than working in the web page environment.

Thanks.
